Week 9: Day 1

2:14:00, 23.08 miles, 1224kcal, Res 6

The past week has been a nightmare. Here's hoping there are no more setbacks. I have to finish strong.

Week 8: Day 2

Time: 2:29:00, 25.59 miles, 1360 kcal

Took a lot to get this one in.

Week 8: Day 1

2:20:00, 25.46 miles, 1358kcal, Resist 6

Another week begins. I'm rounding another turn here since the end of this week will mark the two-thirds point of the match. And, if you can call it that, the end of the first trimester of my rebirth (okay, that was cheesy--but I'll keep it).

As usual, my goal is not to miss workouts for the rest of the journey. The odds are against that happening, however, the fact I've been so persistent is noteworthy--and awesome.

Even if I don't crank out astonishing numbers at the end of March, I'm sure I'll still hit close to my target.

Week 7: Day 5

80:08, 13.98 miles, 745.7 kcal

I haven't missed any workouts this week. I just haven't posted them to the blog. I'll do that if I get around to it. Tonight's was cut short because I need my sleep. I was in a bad way all day today.

Week 7: Day 2

2:00:00, 20.4 miles, 1080 kcal, Resistance 6
2:02:10, 20.6 miles, 1097 kcal, Resistance 6

Two workouts today. I dropped the resistance level because 8 kept leaving me overtrained. Can't do it yet. I've got time.

I missed the weekend because I threw down and got my workstation functioning at long last. I just couldn't pry myself away.

Week 6: Day 5

2:26:10, 25.59 miles, 1363 kcal, Resist 8

That was brutal. Keeping in the low end of my training zone is so much harder than staying in the high end.

More Fallout 3 and it's way too late at night for much writing.

Week 6: Day 2

2:00:00, 22.2 miles, 1184 kcal, Resistance 8

This ended up getting posted to Plasmalamp on accident.

I'm so tired. Between Super Bowl food and alcohol of the weekend taking their toll and the rigors of exercising to re-start my weight loss, I'm tired.

There's a blood drive at work tomorrow and I may actually donate, but likely not since I had some problems last time.

Week 6: Day 4

2:08:00, 22.28 miles, 1185 kcal, Resistance 8

I just couldn't do my workout last night. Donating blood left me feeling weird. It's not slacking when I'm packing A Positive. Dropping that blood was something like 650kcal anyway, which I'm sure was regained from the juice and treats they want you to take in after the donation.

Fallout 3 is quite the game. I'm getting into it so much I went over my time by 8 minutes.

Week 5: Day 6

2:00:00, 22.63 miles, 1205 kcal

Started out Resistance 5, went all the way up to 8 because I couldn't keep my heart rate up. That worked. For an hour, I hurt. I'm finding it hard to get to sleep. Good thing it's Friday.

I didn't slack yesterday, either. I did 2:40:00, 29.11 miles and burned 1560 kcal.

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Week 5: Day 4

2:22:00, 27.1 miles, 1435 kcal

Evening workout with some slack being picked up. I'm pacing a little slower to prevent overtraining. The cadence I have to keep up at high speeds is probably what wears on me the most. It may well be time to turn up the resistance.

Week 5: Day 3

1:00:00, 11.52 miles, 610.9 kcal

Entering this a day after the fact. Morning workouts suck. I'm ditching this method in favor of the evening type. Maybe I'll do small workouts in the morning, but forcing myself to do it is just plain evil.

Monday, February 1, 2010

Week 5: Day 2

60:03, 11.37 miles, 604.4 kcal

I overtrained horribly on Friday. I've decided to start doing my workouts in the morning so I can actually have time to relax after work. It's better in general.
